Who Are Haven Holidays?
Haven is one of the largest UK holiday park operators in the UK, with 38 sites dotted along the coastline.
Each holiday park varies in what it offers, from lively, action-packed parks such as Devon Cliffs in Exmouth, to quieter, more peaceful sites such as Lakeland Holiday Park in the Lake District.
They provide complete holiday packages in a variety of different accommodations as well as ownership opportunities.
What Accommodation Does Haven Have?
Depending on the Haven park you choose, there will be a combination of the following accommodation types on offer;
- Caravans (Saver, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Signature)
- Lodges (Luxury or Exclusive)
- Glamping (Yurts, Safari Tents, Geo Domes, Super Tents, Pods)
- Chalets (Standard, Comfort, Comfort Plus)
- Apartments (Standard, Comfort, Comfort Plus, Comfort with Verandah)
- Touring and Camping Pitches (Basic, Electric, Euro, Super Electric)
- One-off special accommodation (The Pod, Deck Houses, Beach Houses)
In this guide, we will focus on all the Haven caravan grades.
Haven Caravan Types
Currently, there are five different types of Haven caravans.
- Saver
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Signature
Haven Saver Caravan
Sleeps up to 4 or 6 guests in 2 or 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.
The Haven Saver is the most economical of the caravan range and comes as either a two-bedroom, sleeping up to 4 guests, or a three-bedroom, sleeping up to 6 guests.
Haven Saver caravans all have a bathroom with a shower and toilet and a kitchen and lounge area.
There are dog-friendly Saver caravans available in parks that allow dogs.
The kitchens are more basic than other caravan grades in the range but are still perfectly suitable for enjoying a caravan holiday.
The width of a Saver caravan is the narrowest at 10ft, compared to the other caravans that are 12ft and 14ft in width.
Another thing to consider is that Saver caravans only have heaters (or gas fires) in the lounge area, whereas the other grades have central heating throughout the accommodation.
If you are looking for a budget-friendly caravan break and don’t mind a little less space and luxury, a Haven Saver caravan is great value for money.
Haven Bronze Caravan
Sleeps up to 6 or 8 guests in 2 or 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.
Next in line is the Haven Bronze Caravan, wider than the Haven Saver at 12ft.
The Haven Bronze sleeps more people than the Saver, with a pull-out bed in the lounge for the extra guests.
The Haven Bronze has all the same features as a Saver but also has double glazing and central heating.
Haven Silver Caravan
Sleeps up to 6 or 8 guests in 2 or 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom
The Haven Silver range of caravans is the same size as the Haven Bronze, sleeping the same number of people.
The Silver differs from the Bronze with some unique extra features, including;
- A minimum 40” sized TV (versus a 32”)
- A ¾ sized fridge freezer (versus an under the counter fridge)
- Decking with seating area
- Towels are provided
- Bluetooth speak in the lounge
- Minimum 22” TV in the main bedroom
- DVD player in the lounge
- Hairdryer in the main bedroom
The Silver Caravan has central heating and double glazing like the Bronze caravan.
Haven Gold Caravan
Sleeps up to 4 or 6 guests in 2 or 3 bedrooms with a bathroom and master ensuite
The Haven Gold caravan models are the largest in size at 14ft wide.
They have all the same features as the Silver caravans, with the addition of a dishwasher and a full-sized fridge freezer in the kitchen.
The decking area wraps around the caravan providing lots of extra space for you to entertain and relax.
Dogs are not allowed in any of the Haven Gold caravans.
Haven Signature Caravan
Sleeps up to 4 or 6 guests in 2 or 3 bedrooms with a bathroom
The last caravan type in the Haven range is the Signature.
The Signature has many of the features of the Haven Gold, but they don’t have the additional toilet or dishwasher, and the fridge-freezer is ¾-sized.
The Signature is usually smaller than the Gold (at a minimum 12ft width instead of 14ft).
The real selling point of the Signature range is the sea or lake view that they all have.
What Is A Haven Hideaway?
When you come to book your Haven holiday, you will have the option to choose either a Haven Hideaway or a general Haven Holiday package.
The essential difference between the two is that the Hideaway includes your holiday home, entry to any arcades, and access to any restaurants and takeaways, but not to any of the swimming pools, activities or entertainment venues.
The Haven Hideaway is ideal if you want to use your caravan holiday home as a base and spend more of your time exploring the local area.

What Is The Best Haven Site?
The best Haven site will vary depending on what you want from a caravan holiday.
Suppose you are looking for a Haven site that is great for families with toddlers.
Haven recommends Craig Tara in Scotland with the Toddlers’ Play village and the one-metre-high ropes adventure at the Mini Aerial Adventure.
Haggerston Castle Holiday Park is another great option for families, a holiday park with its own castle tower in the grounds as well as plenty of things to do nearby.
Golden Sands in Lincolnshire is the perfect choice for caravan holidays with dogs. With miles of golden sands to roam on, the holiday park also is one of four Haven parks with a Bark yard (a new initiative by Haven to build areas where dogs can enjoy a fun-filled obstacle course!)
