The Haven owned Golden Sands Holiday Park is situated on the pretty Lincolnshire coast.

The holiday park offers a wide range of activities to keep everyone entertained including the Adventure Village, two swimming pools, fishing on the lake and of course the beautiful sand dunes of Golden Sands.

Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre

Just a two minute walk through the sand dunes from Golden Sands, Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary is also home to many rescued animals, including goats, snakes, otters, monkeys, meerkats, and birds.

Set in 2 acres of dunes just 50 metres from the shore, this is a wonderful opportunity to feed and interact with the seals and learn about the wildlife.

A part of the Sanctuary is dedicated to prehistoric times, dinosaurs, and fossils.

Lincolnshire Aquapark

There’s guaranteed fun and laughter, and an exciting challenge or two for everyone at one of the most popular attractions in the area, 2 miles from Golden Sands.

Lincolnshire Aquapark is one of the UK’s largest aquaparks with many facilities, including a huge pool with slides, a giant cyclone wheel, and a fantastic new Aquaglide.

Eastside Ceramics

If you’re looking for something different, Eastside Ceramics is an excellent chance to get creative.

About a mile from Golden Sands, close to Mablethorpe High Street, paint your own pottery sessions are a hit with visitors of all ages.

With clear instructions from friendly, patient staff, and a range of pottery to choose from, visitors of all abilities will be delighted with their handiwork. No experience necessary!

Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary

Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary is a lovely, scenic place to take the children to meet the friendly donkeys and Shetland ponies. Most of the donkeys have been rescued and have their own quirky characters and stories. Chickens and ducks are waddling around too.

Entry is just £1, and you can buy a much-appreciated bag of carrots for 50p, a fantastic day out for everyone less than 7 miles from Golden Sands. You might even want to adopt a donkey!

Mablethorpe Fairground

There’s lots of family fun to be had at the traditional Mablethorpe Funfair, next to the award-winning beach, just a stone’s throw from Golden Sands.

There is a wide variety of activities for older and younger children, including vintage rides such as the waltzer, dodgems, ghost train, hook a duck and house of horrors. Children love the bungee trampolines and a caterpillar coaster for thrill seekers.


Donna Nook Nature Reserve

Donna Nook covers more than 10 miles of beautiful coastline and is a rare opportunity to see the colony of grey seals which come to the sand dunes to give birth to more than 2000 pups in November and December every year.
