Should you tire of Alton Towers, you can always head to one of the many other popular attractions in the area, including Ilam Park, Dovedale and White Peak, as well as Peak Wildlife Park.


2. Quarry Walk Park (4 miles from Alton Towers)

Quarry Walk Park is perfectly situated within 46 acres of wonderfully quiet woodland, yet only a 15-minute journey from Alton Towers. Ideal for enjoying a day out with family and friends.

Quarry Walk Park offers five hard-standing grass pitches with electric hookups if you are bringing your own caravan, motorhome or trailer tent. You must be a member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club in order to book.

Other accommodation options include lodges, cabins and glamping pods. Some accommodations are dog friendly – just add at the time of booking (only one dog per accommodation). There are also brick BBQs at each of the cabins and lodges and a communal fire pit at the glamping pods.
